I had my son in February and that’s also around the time I discovered the Bible recap. I’ve been following along while listening to the audiobook Bible while I nurse my baby. So now I kinda look forward to the 3am feedings cuz that means I get to check off another days worth of readings.

Fostering has been something strong on my heart for about a year now but my husband and I haven’t made the step just yet. About 30 mins before I watched this video I was thinking about fostering, as soon as she bought up the word adopting/fostering I suddenly became overfilled with the holy spirit. Ask the Holy Spirit to teach you, He will help you! Also start with the book of Ruth. Great story! Then read 1 John. It’s even shorter than Ruth. Find the shortest chapters of the Bible and start there. As you read, ask God to guide you. He is faithful friend!!! ❤

💕My husband was abused physically and had cancer as a child, when i met him he stuttered so bad he could barely state his name. Today he speaks clearly, is cancer free, and a great father to both our children. The victory belongs to Jesus!!

But how do you face the what is, when it’s your nightmare, but unlike her you have no community no matter how much you invest in others. No one to help, no one to fight for, nothing to hope for or ever look forward to? All these stories are like hers are all about people who go through traumatic events, but God cared enough about them to still give them support, spouses, kids, a future worth having even if it wasn’t what they initially thought it would look like. It must be nice to be someone God actually does provide for their needs, instead of being someone God didn’t care enough about to be bothered.

This was so powerful and I may have never known about them or the movie, had it not been for you. Now I have shared this podcast on my social media and hope others will do the same. But I want to say, thank YOU for YOUR yes! Just like them, you took up your cross, denied yourself and said “yes” to the Lord when He asked you to step out and be a public figure even when you didn’t want to. Like she said, it was your obedience that was the breeding ground for all the miracles that have happened since. Your podcast has greatly blessed my 16 year old and me. And just this week I shared the one about anxiety with another mom my age whose high school daughter is experiencing anxiety. I know it will minister to them both. But as you were saying, this podcast is more than just about adoption. It’s about getting back to the simplicity and power of our faith and love of Jesus. It’s about following Him, obeying Him, walking out Truth- no matter the cost. And not being distracted by comfort and the world, etc. Thank you for getting that truth out. Across denominations, across all ages- it’s God’s truth through the ages and always will be. One little encouragement, and I know you are surrounded by family, amazing leadership and mentors who I'm sure are already telling you this. But I will just echo what I am sure they are telling you. Protect your health with the Lord, your family, your mental health, physical health, accountability, etc. at all costs. Your gift and calling in the Body of Christ are too precious to lose your influence. You have an enemy who hates you and hates what you’re doing more and more every day. He would love nothing more than to take you out and for you to lose your voice and influence. You are in this for the long haul. So take care of you. Be wise as a serpent, harmless as a dove. And rest. We love, value, and pray for you.
